I don't know if it is the speakers or my room treatment but the 32hz (C0) - like 37hz (D0) is really audible and almost overpowering but my favorite note F0(43-44hz) is no where near as loud. Almost every song is like this.
This song in D - https://soundcloud.com/delayproductions/808-from-asia-preview (bass is peaking at like -6.5)
This song in F - https://soundcloud.com/theunder/theunder-fire (bass is peaking at like -2.5)
This song in C - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_9tX4eHztY
This song in F - https://soundcloud.com/riotville-records/fabian-mazur-trappin-out-the-bando
note: not just these songs, I have tested lots.
The sub in C-D are really loud. I would think that because F is higher it should be more resonant and easier to hear. I know when I hear a song in C-D on these speakers it won't bang as much in the car and visa versa when I don't really hear the 808 as much on songs in like F etc on the KRKs, the sub bass will sound amazing in car/headphones.
I have tested lots of songs, and even though the sub bass is the same volume or louder (testing with spectrum analyzer) songs sound just way different in these different notes. Can someone explain, is it my room, the speakers, my hearing, what? Lastly, I mostly listen at low-med volume and at higher volumes I can def hear F notes etc. better, it feels way more subby. I know about saturation and distorting but it does very little to make it sound as big on these speakers compared to just using the C note.
All the knobs on the back of the speakers are at 0. Speakers are pretty close to a wall/shelf and are on hard wood desk.
