I have a specific question so I thought I'd start a thread for anyone else with similar questions.
I live in an apartment at the moment and use Rokit 8s. The set up is less than perfect (untreated room, monitors near wall) as the room is a bit small. Ultimately I'm trying to get a flatter/fuller sound while creating less noise for my upstairs neighbor.
I've read good things about the jbl lsr305 + lsr10s combo, however although i would be able to turn the sub off at night and move the tops closer to my ears, i'm afraid the rear firing bass ports won't be any better than the rokits. Is it worth going this route along with treating the room?
