Hey fellas!
So recently I've been interested in doing some heavier remixes of some older theme songs (specifically, the Thomas The Tank Engine intro theme, as well as the Super Mario 64 Main Theme). Obviously finding the original tempo of the track is essential, but even after detecting the original BPM, I've been having issues with syncing up to the original song. I feel like it is impossible to line up the downbeat with Ableton's downbeat, which makes syncing up a drum beat impossible (which makes adding anything else impossible as well). Does anyone have any tips to starting remixes to songs like this (i.e. syncing to original BMP etc etc)
