So this is prob my biggest issue EVER concerning music production.
Let's say I'm listening to my track and I realize I have to change the hi hat because it just doesn't sit well with the mix. So I started changing the sample in real time to hear other samples play while my track is playing and before long, I've gone through 400 new samples that still aren't good enough but I've now lost the original sample since it was like 400 samples ago.
Now, not only does my track not have a newer, better hi hat sample, but I'm left with a shittier sounding one cause I can't even find the old one anymore.
This goes for every single sample and instrument in my track.
How do you guys work around this?
