Okay im going to try describing this the best i can.
Lets say you have a saw wave and a sine wave. Youre playing them both as a bassline (not simultaneously), lets say around 50 hz. The sine wave is just one harmonic, its pure, it has just one tone. However, the saw wave will have shitloads of harmonics (because its a saw wave, duh).
But if you were to single out the lowest harmonic in the saw wave it will be just a sine wave. Now what i am wondering is; Is there anyways to boost ONLY that low sub harmonic in a saw wave?
Im NOT talking about some EQ shit here or whatever. If you were to EQ you would boost other harmonics than JUST the low SUB harmonic in the saw wave.
I hope i described this good, ive been wondering this for a long time.
