So I don't really know where to start on this. I've done some reading, watched some tutorials, but still don't really know how to apply it to a song I've done. I feel like my songwriting is decent and I can achieve some interesting timbres with synths and percussion, but anytime I play my track next to another one it just sounds.. flatter? quieter? Don't even know how to describe it, and I'm not sure if it's from the samples I use, or that I just don't know how to properly EQ tracks and utilize limiting and compression or something?
Anyway, what I'm getting at is.. is there anyone here I could pay to spend an hour or two over a video chat going over some mixing/mastering techniques applied specifically to a song I've done in ableton live?
