I'm 24 years old, with some experience as a musician but zero as a producer (and currently zero equipment besides my mac). My goal for the New Year is to start producing but I'm having trouble deciding which DAW to start with. My concerns being:
- Budget
- File Sizing (105 GB currently available)
- Accessibility for a beginner, while still being "pro-sounding" enough for the future?
Ableton, FruityLoops & LogicPro are all sticking out the most to me at the moment, for being professional but not being too advanced for beginners-like-myself to navigate. I'm trying to avoid programs like Garageband & AcidPro for seeming too simplistic, but I'm open to having my mind changed!
I'm on a 2012 Macbook Pro btw, so any suggestions/tips relating to that would be awesome. Thanks again for your time reading this, very serious here about wanting to start learning Production before I get too too old
