Hello all,
Bass lines are my Achilles heel in production, so I've been trying to open up tracks I like and determining bass lines. Are there any trips on how to determine the bassline in a track (specifically the notes used and the length of notes, not sound design).
My genre is trance and sometimes, at least to me, the bass line is hidden in all the percussion, drums, etc; but I know that it is there, I just can't get my ears to tune in because they get distracted or the bass line just isn't pronounced enough. Example track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jg1S_Ia683g
I've tried opening tracks in my DAW and LPF to try to tune into the mid-bass (the subs usually easy to notice), but never got too far with it.
Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks
