It's been quite a while since I've really been on Soundcloud. (I took a hiatus in music to focus on business)
I always thought of it as a platform for artists, but it seems that they're shifting to be more of a Spotify type of service.
I remember there was an explore tab where I can view a ton of genres. Now there's a collection tab instead. I guess the Charts section is similar, but it has a much more limited collection of genres than what I remember.
Maybe I'm missing something and am just going through the phases of dealing with changes in a platform.
What do you think about the direction Soundcloud is going in? Also, as a bonus question, are there any promising upcoming alternatives to Soundcloud?
