So I recently moved my Yamaha HS80's into a corner of the room. I compose and mix on all, but mostly my headphones, ATH-M50, and Sennheiser HD 650. Whenever I mix on either, I end up having to make changes when I mix on another pair. I'm mixing my album and it's driving me nuts that I don't know which audio source to trust for my final mix. I'm basically cross-referencing endlessly until I reach a compromise. I'm also starting to listen to a ton of music on non-mix days so that I have a professional sound reference, but I don't know if that works. Ultimately I think I'll send it to other ears for their opinions, at this point, probably labels (one of my fav labels is chill without receiving masters, so my premasters must be prestine, however they might be a little forgiving and give me the greatest direct advice like "your sub is too loud, etc".
Anyway, would it be a bad idea to put the finishing touches in a professional studio, that I have to rent? Cause then I would have to "get used" to their monitors, while I already know what all my audio sources sound like.
Also, what would be a good contraption to improve the sound in my studio? I can't move the monitors right now so they're in a corner, facing a living space and kitchen.
Help would be deeply appreciated.
