Hi r/edmproduction, so very recently I decided to give in and purchase myself a pair of Audio-Technica ATH-M50x's, and i'm not gonna lie, they are truly unlike anything i've really experienced before, however there's only one problem i'm having lately... things don't seem to translate. In simpler terms for instance, if i lay down a kick drum on my monitors and get it sounding perfect, there's a 9/10 chance it'll always sound horrible when i listen to it over my M50x's, so then i'll start to mess with the same kick over the headphones until it sounds right there, but then when back on the monitors, it sounds like shite. I'm really struggling with this issue and it's honestly frustrating me so much at the moment, because i feel like my creativity is being limited due to my incapability to get simple elements such as the kick to translate. If anybody knows of a solution to this, or maybe even some advice, i'd really love to know and id be so grateful because this is almost literally making me tear my hair out! Thanks in advance :)
