So I'm ordering about a shitload of room treatment materials here in the next week as a christmas present to myself. I'm having a tough time finding information on Google about these things without someone delving 100 feet deep into acoustic science, saying that I need a professional so that they can have my money. I don't really care that much. My room just has a lot of slap and flutter and the walls are basically empty. I have double closet doors that fold (i would assume because this is a wall within a wall that this creates some diffusion and isn't necessarily a horrible thing) and a window that is not very wide, but goes from the roof nearly to the floor vertically. I also obviously have a door. Is there any "in general" advice that you guys have, besides the old mirror trick, that would be helpful with these things?
