I want to start learning how to produce, and was seeking opinions on which DAW I should pick/start with? Specifically, if any of them are best suited for making house, progressive house, and trance?
I know how to DJ, I use Traktor (I hate serato and CDJs, IMO they lack basic features, like quant and sync), if that helps construct any recommendations on what DAWs I'd probably like... I did read through the newbie FAQ section, but only saw lists of the major DAWs (Ableton, FL, Reason, etc.), no discussions on the pros/cons of each, and what they're like.
Specifically, which is easiest to learn with? And/or are there any complete, comprehensive lecture/video series that instruct the step-by-step process in making tracks in that specific DAW? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
