So I've been producing very amateurishly on and off for the last few years but I've never had monitors to work with. I obviously can't mix for shit without proper monitors. I've finally saved up a bit of money with the intention of buying monitors but looking online everywhere says the shape of my room is very important. And my current room is awkward as balls.
So my question is how important is room shape really, at an amateur bedroom producer level?
