So I recently got the LEVELS mastering the mix plug in and its pretty nice. It measures headroom (peak and LUFS), Dynamic Range, Stereo Image, and Bass Space.
Anyway, I've finished up a mix with one of my tracks and I pop this plug-in on to check everything out and everything checks out except dynamic range.
So how can I create dynamic range? I'm not unnecessarily compressing stuff. The only compressors I have are on groups, and a little bit of parallel compression. Should I just ignore this if it sounds good? Or does that indicate there's something wrong with the mix. I've only been producing about a year and a half so maybe my ears can't hear something.
