I've been experimenting with a lot of techniques to try to get a really full sound when trying to create synths. I generally start with big chords and then break them into bass mids and highs and tweak each of the sounds until I get the sound I want. I'm trying to go for the future bass sound. I take a lot of influence in my work from porter robinson and flume as well as some tropical artists like thomas jack and kygo. Some of the things I have tried is low pass filter automation, phaser automation, and volume automation, as well as a combination of all of them. I have had the best results with just simple volume automation. What do you guys do to get a nice full sound when you are making this kind of sound?
