So I asked a colleague of mine (a studio engineer, among other things) how to make the sound in this drop (1:00) https://soundcloud.com/rawtekofficial/rawtek-house-of-zulu-good-enuff
It's a vocal sample that has been processed in a particular way, and I loved it so I wanted to know how. He told me it was most likely done with AM synthesis.
Now I'm not too great when it comes to sound design, so I'd love some more input from the lovely people in this community :) What I'd like to know: What kind of (/brand of) plugins should I look for that can do AM synthesis?
How would AM-Synthesis practically be applied to a vocal sample, because I'm not sure how that would work...
Thanks guys!
