Something that comes up pretty often in my production. I can get crazy sounds out of things like granulizers and weird feedback sources, and though they sound interesting on their own, I find it difficult to make them fit within the context of a song. Sometimes I can't figure out what note is playing, other times the notes are all over the place, and sometimes I don't even think there is a fundamental tone. I know a lot of artists (like audeka) make it work somehow, but I struggle with it a lot. How do you guys go about using crazy atonal sounds in your songs? Or how can I get more tonal stuff from things like granulizers while still getting interesting sounds? Just how to deal with this kind of thing in sound design in general
