I bought external hard drive to save my flp files ( compositions ) samples and vst plugins on it. But after two months it started to work very bad. It was turning off from no reason and computer could not recognize it sometimes. But sometimes it was working. I went to guy where I bought it. I was thinking he will repair it in day, or two. But he sent it to some service. And this external hdd is there 40 days, or more.
Now I am worried that somebody will steal my compositions. I was making 3 albums. And for first album I need only 1 more track, to be finished. And daughter of this guy plays violin.
I was naive and I did not made encrypted archive that contains my projects. Can I find if somebody uploaded my tracks? I know there are google images, with that you can search for images. But is there something like that for music? And what if somebody changed/remixed my compositions, can I find it if somebody uploaded it?
TLDR; If you use external hard drive to save your compositions, Archive it with winrar, or similar software and put password on it, so only you can open your compositions. It will protect your compositions from being stolen.
TLDR 2; How can I find if somebody uploaded my music online?
