A couple of years ago I had this app called Piano Practice Assistant. It wasn't just for piano, but for any kind of music, and it used spaced repetition to make practice more efficient. It probably wouldn't work for everyone (nothing does), but it was perfect for me. However, it seems to have vanished from the Google Play store. I've tried to use Anki (flashcard app that also uses spaced repetition), and I guess it maybe kiiiinda works, but it's clearly designed for memorization as opposed to practicing a skill.
Does anyone have experience with spaced repetition for music practice, and if so, what app/website/home-brewed mathematical formula do you use? And if you don't: what are your best tips for efficient, deliberate practice?
("But shouldn't you be able to practice without an app/timer system?" I am, I just waste a lot of time since I'm a perfectionist and also stupid. Left to my own devices, I WILL spend all of my very limited practice time on some tiny intonation issue in bar 6, instead of properly internalizing bars 8 through 90whatever. I loved having an algorithm tell me "OK that's 10 minutes of that, rate how hard it was and we might go back to it tomorrow, depending on your answer")
