I know there are commonalities in what I like, I just don't know exactly what they are. I was recently diagnosed autistic and I want to know exactly why some songs are so comforting and feel so good to listen to.
For example, I love the dembow rhythm. I have a lot of favorite songs that use it and I can identify it easily. I have other favorite songs that I think have similarities, but I can't describe them.
It seems like there could be an algorithm that lets you enter a bunch of songs and it tells you what's similar in them, but I want to learn myself. I often try spotify's curated playlists based on my listening but the algorithm doesn't pick up on whatever I'm picking up on in the music I like, lol.
