I just began composing last month and I tried googling this question to no avail. Let's say I am on Reddit and ask to hear someone's music on the composing subreddit or music-theory subreddit. If they don't provide a score voluntarily -- is it considered a "social faux pas" to request it after they already shared their music?
I feel like it puts them in an awkward spot where they feel bad about saying "no" and I don't want to cause any awkwardness to the professional musicians on Reddit since I'm just a hobbyist.
- Does requesting to hear someone's music automatically imply you wish to have a look at the score also or is it considered socially "proper" to request it separately in a separate request?
Any thoughtful inputs or advice would be much appreciated! 👍
