Here is a picture of a 5-disc CD compilation I own: https://i.imgur.com/mY4GGBE.png
It has all the great musical pieces from that era such as Pachelbel's Canon in D and Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake. I want to write music that uses the same instruments as in the classical music CD-set that I own from that era. Here are the instruments I know for sure are included so far:
- Woodwinds (such as clarinet and bassoon and what else?)
- Strings (such as violin, viola, cello and what else?)
- Piano/Organ
- Horns (french horns maybe?) and what else?
I am using the MuseScore-3 app and don't want to mistakenly use any instruments that were uncommon for that period of musical greatness.
I don't need a "perfect list" but simply a list that is useful enough for me to feel confident that I'm making a faithful representation of music from that era. I'm just a beginner/intermediate musician and I love listening to classical music and I love creating music! 🎶

TL;DR: I'm new to composing -- if I want to emulate the style of "Classical Musicians" (such as Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, etc..) what are the 15 most common instruments they use for their musical composition pieces? 🤔
