Okay so I love music and I want to play. I want to learn an instrument, any really but I have some background.
I used to play piano as a child but quit due to my teacher having to quit due to her health and the other teacher having a rep of being really mean (and she could be verbally abusive).
I tried to get back to piano but my hand coordination is the worst. It comes up in everything and having to coordinate two hands on a wide scale is just really difficult. For some reason I’m not very talented when it comes to my motor skills and coordination (awful dancing abilities from youth backing this up).
I dislike the guitar and bass (and any other form of them), the sounds never really attracted me and having been forced to play them in school year after year has left a bitter taste.
So if I were to start to play a new instrument which would be best? I feel like any instrument where the hands are more closer to each other than with a piano might work for me. Also I can’t afford a piano so really dedicating myself to one isn’t exactly possible.
Are there any recommendations on what instrument might be something that someone with clumsier hand/finger coordination could learn?
