I'm in Vietnam, 8000 or so miles away from my accordion. I want to get an instrument and start playing music again. My choices are:
-
guitar. I can easily get electric and acoustic guitars here. My previous attempts to play guitar were a bit of a disaster though. I'd love to play rhythm guitar though.
-
drums. Probably my favourite. Living in an apartment might make this an issue though unless I went for an electric kit, which is fairly expensive.
-
violin. Another instrument I love. Plus it's portable so I don't have to worry about taking it home with me, I can just carry it on the plane, and similarly I can get it easily onto my moped.
-
woodwinds (primarily clarinet or flute). I used to play a little clarinet, and quite enjoyed it. Flute looks so complicated though with all those buttons.
-
piano/keyboards. With the whole apartment situation, a digital piano or keyboard would give me the option of silent playing. Plus I know the piano layout from my accordion.
I'm really stuck on which one to choose.
