I taught myself acoustic guitar so I could sing Beatles songs, and it's served me well up to this point.
I want to take my knowledge to the next level (ie, more advanced shapes, voicings, improvisation).
I enjoy artists like Tomo Fujita, Cory Wong (from Vulfpeck), and some of the more spicy Paul Simon harmonies (like Still Crazy After all These Years).
Basically funk, R&B, and a bit of jazz.
What do you recommend I practice? Or if not something specific, should I try to get a teacher? I've always been self-taught but I'm afraid I may need someone to actually sit with me to find the gaps in my playing.
Thank you!
