So I'm interested in learning an instrument. I'm 23 now. In elementary school I remember learning to play the recorder as most people in those grades do. And when I reached about 4h grade, I got into the violin. I remeber being really excited to learn how to play it since it has always been among my favorite instruments. I'm right-handed so I went with a right-handed violin. Unfortunately I have radioulnar synostosis in my left hand, so I can't supinate that hand, and this made playing the violin impossible for me. Funny thing is, I didn't know about it until the music teacher pointed it out. I cried that day. Looking back, I can probably play violin, I'd probably just need to get a left-handed one, I don't think I need to supinate the hand holding the bow, so it works. But a left-handed violin probably costs more than a regular one, and I can't afford anything over $50 roght now. Especially if I don't know of I'm disciplined enough to atick with it.
So... What are some good beginner instruments that are also cheap?
I heard a tin whistle is pretty cheap. I don't mind the type of instrument, just no harmonica because I hate the noise it makes. And if I'm successful, I plan on playing instruments from other families as well. I don't have a preference fpr any particular group sucj as string, wind or whatever else exists.
Any suggestions?
