So I wanted to start learning an instrument for a while now, specifically the piano. Now I'd be really happy I could get some advice/answers first.
General questions:
The first thing is obvious, I'm going to need something to practice on. I don't have access to a Piano or Keyboard sadly and as a student I'm on a fairly tight budget. My first thought was to get a cheap electrical keyboard to get started, however I have no knowledge on any brands/models and it's hard for me to judge what is to cheap/expensive or what is appropriate. So if there are some specifications where I really have to be careful I'd appreciate any hints.
My second question is on teaching. I know there is a lot of online resources available and I generally do well with self teaching in other domains and this way of learning would definitely fit better into my budget. Nevertheless I'd like some insights to judge if it's worth getting a teacher for the start. Any good online resources are appreciated as well.
Thanks in advance for any comments, I highly appreciate it.
