Does anyone have tips on processing vocals to make them 'pop'?
Right now I have my main vocals running through melodyne>compressor>ott>soft limiter>parallel distortion>eq>chorus>imager
and a second track with a similar chain plus reverb, and lastly another track with reversed reverb vocals.
However my vocals don't sound very professional and I don't know what I can do to improve them.
Here's an example: https://soundcloud.com/user-818143102/seektofindversion1/s-M0OWt
What's wrong with these vocals and what can I do to make them better?
