Hey all,
I have an issue that is annoying and I was wondering if anyone here had any insights on what the problem might be. Basically my synthesizers have a little bit of an electrical buzz when I plug them into my audio interface. The only synthesizer that does not have this buzz is my synthesizer that I have connected via SPDIF to my interface. I usually keep my synthesizers muted on my digital mixer unless I'm using them because they buzz often times even when they are turned off. Its a problem because this electrical buzz gets into my mixes and I have to spend time in mastering getting rid of it. I was just wondering if anyone else has/had the same problem and knows how to fix it.
A bit about my setup: For my interface I am using a Focusrite Scarlett 18i6. I have a Novation Bass Station 2, Novation Xio, Novation Circuity and Arturia Drumbrute connected via 1/4" jacks. These are the ones that buzz. I have all of my synthesizers powered with DC power and a USB hub transmits midi data between the synthesizers and the computer. I also have two microphones connected to the pre-amp inputs in the front, but they do not buzz. I also have a Novation Ultranova connected via SPDIF and it does not buzz. Additionally connected to the USB hub I have a Livid OHM RGB and a Machine Controller MKI
