So I contacted the iZotope Support, because I wanted to request the educational discount. Surprisingly the Support answered back the next day, that they could grant me the discount, but they saw that I have a discount for the 'Loyalty Crossgrade from Standard Products' and I could use that.
I told him that I don't own any of these products and he answered that those coupons sometimes (direct quote) "get generated on accident" and if the "Buy Now" button is clickable I can do so and purchase the products without owning any of the previous ones or smth like that.
Now I was really euphoric when the support told me that, but I am a little bit sceptical. Can I really download the products and use them without owning any of the previous ones.
This offer seems so ridiculous, that I wanted to ask in this subreddit if anyone could tell me about that from his own experience.
Note; The Loyalty Crossgrade from Standard Products gives you for example Ozone 8 Advanced if you own Ozone 7 Standard or Ozone 8 Standard
TL;DR: Can I use iZotope's Upgrade Discount Coupons without owning the previous products?
P.S.: I may sound like a troll, because as mentioned above this seems super ridiculous. If anyone wants/needs proof I can screenshot the emails
