I have used lots of synths, with all these crazy features and effects, but what i always end up doing is going back to fruity loops 3osc synth and making what i want there. i get all my plucks, and all my heavy basses from there, and whenever i use other synths, i just make a pluck using, a saw, and a squar and a filter cutoff, the same things i can do with 3 osc.
it doesnt bother me, and i get the sounds i want, because i know how to make them quickly... but is there something i am missing out on by not realy diving into massive or serum (ive only used demos)
ive made cool stuff with them, but nothing that id use personaly.
-look i dont want this to be a discussion about daws, and if you dont know what fruity loops 3 osc is ill post somepics
and if there is a wave you want but 3 osc doesnt have it, just drag and drop. is super easy and simple and does what i need. https://imgur.com/a/ApjoJ
modx is cutoff and mod y is resonance
here is a demo of the current song i am working on. it uses entirely 3osc for synths, and ofc basic kicks and snares. please note its a wip: https://soundcloud.com/3lks/3lk-demo warning exported a little loud may need to lower volume
