Make use of 1) borrowed chords 2) relative minors
I was listening to some OPM and I realised that most of the time, not all the notes played were in the key of the song, And it made the song very interesting. However I am not sure if this takes place in EDM as I mostly see that most of the time all the notes are in the scale itself :)
Furthermore, please help me understand in what ways can I use borrowed chords and relative minors in my songs to spice things up Thank you
