Really love music and have been making it all my life.
Play other instruments well, but learning a DAW has been a huge process, and as far as acting like an instrument goes, it's completely unintuitive. I create fun music, but not great music, and it takes a lot of effort. Can easily create more complex music on my instrument of choice, but have bored myself to tears playing it.
Frustrating to keep creating music only to learn that in order to get that natty rhodes or Mellotron sound it costs an extra $100 per plugin.
Creating a lot of basic music that takes a lot of effort and trying to avoid dumping money into plugins to get more robust sounding arrangements.
Also completely discouraged every time I open youtube to see that either a) someone out of my league is popular or b) someone worse than I am made a beat that got on youtube.
Blech. Sorry for this post in advance.
