Okay I can't find this answer anywhere on the internet. So I know some basic theory and that you can tune the kick to the 3rd, 5th or even 7th of your bass note. ALso 1 semi-tone up or down sounds trippy and in tune. But what notes can I tune the kick to so it's below the bass? Use kick as a root note and then use the rule of 3rds, 5ths etc. for the bass? So for example I have bass playing G and the track is in minor. I can tune the kick effectively to G# or A for the trippy feeling but still in tune, A# for a 3rd, D for a 5th and F for a 7th. Now I want the bass to still play G but the kick to go below the bass. What notes can I use? I've seen inverted intervals but I don't really get it how they work.
Thanks!
