I used to play trumpet at a fairly advanced level, but haven't played in years. I probably only remember my 4/4 time and basic scale at this point and would need to re-learn just about everything.
I figured it would be a good time for my S/O to pick up an instrument and learn along with me. I don't think it makes much sense for us to play the same instrument, so I'm looking for some tips on what might be a good instrument for her to pick up.
Are there any limitations to what she could play alongside a trumpet? Anything that would compliment a trumpet particularly well? I was thinking a flute or clarinet would be ideal for her, but we're open to suggestions and advice.
Thanks in advance!
