I want to understand how to transition across chords/notes throughout a song and stay in key. So for example, if I’m playing a song in the Key of G, and the song is in standard time, and the chord progression is G A C G, what do I need to know to transition between these chords and stay in key? I feel like I’m really close to understanding this but it’s just not making total sense to me. I’m mostly playing on bass but I think Guitar would be the same concept. Thanks in advance!
