Where will EDM go from now? It’s been kind of stale these last few years, with not much innovation. What I’m looking forward to is watching the new generation of producers coming in, but even then I was disappointed since it’s the same future bounce Mesto-clones again and again. (This makes me sound old but I’m 17 lol)
I personally love music. I play guitar and some piano and have produced for fun for a few years. I’m not trying to jerk myself of or anything, but I don’t feel like enough people actually like music; they just like copying their favourite producer. They’re in love with the craft, not the art.
Nowadays the EDM scene is SO saturated, it is insane. I tried my best to be unique, and eventually I made my own style of music, which I’m happy about.
tldr; what are your thoughts on this over saturated, generic and non-progressing EDM community? Will EDM die out because of this?
