Yesterday I asked for some advice about finding an artist name and you guys were really nice and helpful. Thanks :) I think I finally found something cool. I'm not 100% sure of my choice yet, but I really start to like it.
As soon as I found it, I started typing it on Google to see if it was used by anyone else. I'll try to be brief and tell you who uses it and where:

1 SoundCloud user (5 subscribers, no tracks)

1 SoundCloud user that took the URL of the exact name (no tracks, just a listener)

1 USPTO Trademark registered in 2012 (IT consulting firm named "Active Up") : legal entity name different from trademark name (aka the name I want to use)

1 ".com" Domain name leading to an old personal video game blog/website (last updated in 2006)

1 ".fm" Domain name leading to an Online FM Radio (doesn't seem to work anymore)

1 small clothing brand selling on a few vendors
Overall the name I'd like to use isn't common at all. When typing it on Google, I only find images of clothes from the brand and the dead FM radio site. Nothing relevant or leading to a big website or brand. The trademark thing is based in Brussels, I typed the address on Google Maps and it leads to someone's small house, so it doesn't look like some major firm either. Googling the name I'm trying to pick isn't sending me to their website, as the name they use is different from the trademark name linked to it (WTF though).
NO ANY iTunes, Spotify, Deezer & Google Play artist uses this name. Two albums have this name, and three tracks spread on different stores. Both albums are pretty much unknown, same for the tracks. But anyway albums and tracks aren't a problem, so let's put that aside.
I think I might be able to pick this name without too much trouble. Though the SoundCloud dude who took the URL bothers me a bit, it can be misleading for people trying to find me on SC. But I'm happy no any artist uses it. Do you think I'm good to go? I guess that if i want to trademark my name, I'm pretty much fucked? Or does the fact that the other "me" is a IT consulting firm makes things different?
I don't know much about Trademarking and name/brand protecting. Considering I've only released one track with 1,5k plays and have 60 followers on SC, is it worth paying such a service right now? What do you think about referencing and "googleability" ? :)
