Hi all - Below is my short summary of my question on this topic: Background: In Ableton, I load my sample packs folders into the places menu - no problem there. However, for projects that I then use samples for - and after tweaking the sample with effects or warping - I want to save samples these into a favorites folder for later use.
Problem: Creating an offline favorite sample folder then loading into places - and then dragging/dropping these project samples - causes a myriad of multi-level subfolders...which is very annoying.
Workaround: I found that the only way to keep it as a clean folder without annoying sub-level folders for each individual sample I drag from projects - is to create a favorites folder within the user library. Then I drag this favorites folder into into the Places for quick access.
Question: Did I solve my own problem? is that how everyone addresses this issue? Hopefully my workaround helps others - but more importantly, I'm hoping i'm doing it right :) thanks!
