So I noticed KSHMR used a vocal glitch technique to connect different parts of his vocals and add a special feel to them all around in his new song.

The Vocal glitch effect I'm talking about is around 0:06, where between the two vocals the first vowel if the first vocal is repeated in quick succession.
What's the secret to nailing this effect? Is it just that he chopped up the vocals to a large extent and put a lot of processing on them or is there something else that's to be noted?
If its just processed, what processing should I look into whenever wanting to create a similar effect?
