I know, I know, you all see a million of these a day and I'm sorry for making another - I have browsed through the others and haven't found much in the way of my specific questions. I'm a classical musician (performer/composer/arranger) by training, but have recently been commissioned for some electronic stuff and have been borrowing a friends Alesis QX61. The long and short of it is I hate the keyboard, it feels like shit, is unresponsive, and all around it's just not fun or expressive to play.
So, where I am, I need something that feels good to play, but doesn't have to be anything too feature rich (though that would be a nice bonus). Obviously I'd like something cheap but I'm willing to go up to around $400 (although ideally I don't break $300). I was looking at the Novation Launchkey but it sounds like that doesn't feel good to play, so I looked at the impulse which is just more expensive than I'd really like.
I want a 61 or 88 key that feels nice to play and is going to work well in FL Studio, while also keeping the door open if I want to get into some Ableton Live stuff down the line.
Thanks in advance for any help!
