I started producing music in the summer of 2016, mainly for electro house and hands up. I was quite influenced by norwegian producers like K-391, Alan Walker, Ahrix and others who created hands up (Dj Splash, Dj Mango, East Clubbers ...) I still think myself be very noob to music production despite the fact that at this time I have been creating very bad tracks while learning. This time I want to think about making a new and original style for me, and above all I want to highlight the melodies of my songs. I'm aiming to create emotive melodies (style Alan Walker and hands up producers) for my melodies tracks but I do not have much knowledge of musical theory. I know the basics about scales and chords but I do not really understand songwriting.
The style of melody that I pretend: https://youtu.be/0Auxyk__qfE look min 6:37 and 27:33, these tracks. https://youtu.be/lb7ZpMThGgk
If someone can teach me some technique or something to start making melodies, I would appreciate it. Or it would simply help me know where to start in music theory to get this.
