Hi guys I'm a piano teacher at a studio, currently teaching a couple of people who can't afford piano lessons for free (on Zoom.)
A lot of my friends are wanting to get into teaching music, or just want something on their resume for university applications. I'm thinking of expanding this into something bigger where I connect high school volunteers looking to gain teaching experience to people who can't afford lessons. Hopefully it'd be able to benefit both ends. But obviously there are a lot of places where I could mess up and I've never quite done anything like this before.
It's also hard to verify whether someone can truly afford lessons or not based off of a short interview, without asking for legal documents and I would rather stay away from that.
Has anyone done anything like this before? Where would be a good place to search for people who want lessons, but can't afford them? As well as the volunteers themselves? I know my friends are willing and I'll be able to get people from my area, but it'd be nice if we could reach people from across the world lol.
