I've finally bought myself a new Osawa Alto C Ocarina and a pair of Soprano Ocarinas after tooting on my ol faithful TiAmo alto C for about 9 years. From this purchase has arisen the knowledge that every ocarina needs its own fingering for accidentals. Devastating. So my Questions are: How strictly should I stick to the scales provided with each ocarina? Are they mighty specific or is there a bit of leeway on some notes? I've noticed on some notes it matters which style I play the accidental and on others either style produces a -similarish- note. What is everyones' experience with overcoming this? Tbh it feels almost romantic that each ocarina needs its own style so I'm not even mad - just seeing how far I need diversify from the style I know.
