I have been looking for some resource that gives a progressive pathway to systematically learn more about western music (background, theory, development, etc.). I mean, something similar to the syllabuses for a Bachelor's or Masters in Music from musical institutes. I found some syllabuses online, but they seemed not to explicitly include course material or literature as such. Is there something like those, essentially a series of steps that can let me complete something similar to a musical degree?
To put it another way, I want to do something similar to a Bachelor's in Music (anything other than performance, naturally) but, at my own pace without enrolling in an offline/online university (adult learner, limited time, etc.). The material does not have to be free. Thanks!
