I've been playing the guitar for over 6 years and for the past few years I haven't been improving. The problem is that I give up too easily when I practice new things. I give up when things are hard because I feel like I have nothing forcing me to push through the difficulty. I tried hiring a guitar teacher to be a source of accountability, but I ended up getting overwhelmed and stopped the lessons.
I want to get better at guitar and learn to play my favorite songs, but I can't seem to get myself to put in the effort to do so. How do I stop being so lazy and depressed and actually get better?
