I'm having trouble finding a mandolin teacher for my weird case. I'm self taught (~9 years), and in some ways I'm semi-advanced (chord and rhythm stuff) but I also never really learned my theory and I can't solo, which is embarrassing. I also don't really adhere to any one genre. Basically, I learned to play as a singer-songwriter, and I know enough to write and play my own songs well, but I've kind of plateaued. I'm looking at an instructor on takelessons.com, thought I'd check here first. Any recommendations?
