Hi!
Thanks for reading, a bit new here, COVID killed my performance career for now and I'm baby stepping into something I'll likely do til I'm old: teach music. I'm just starting but do have some teaching experience, this may be a full time thing quickly, who knows.
I want to use the word academy in my business name (which I wont reveal here for lack of copyright). The rest of the name satisfies me, but substituting academy for "lessons", "coaching" etc doesnt quite feel right. I can imagine how CLIENTS might interpret the name, but part of this means selling myself to other educators and communities. My question is, does it bother you to see a lessons person/online/home studio style educator use the word academy in their business title? Is there some pedigree, or physical school structure you feel need to accompany this word? Curious to hear your thoughts!
A little more detail, I value the idea of being able to grow my business someday, whereas I can imagine having a physical residence, multiple teachers, etc. someday. That's why I want my name to be something that grows in scale easily (rather than "My Name Lessons", which doesnt have any sense of scale beyond home studio/online). Again, what I value here is your impression of what the title does/suggests to you.
