I've just picked up a piano and started lessons (currently an online course because quarantine). The problem I'm currently facing is, I'm having a really hard time separating my 4th and 5fh finger (ring and pinkie) when playing chords and such. For example, when I try to press the 5th note using my pinkie, the ring finger follows suit - sometimes it hits the note beside it when I don't want it to; sometimes it hits the same note, one finger on top of the other. What should I do to overcome this situation? Thanks in advance!
